We did it in 2019. Make sure you make it to Winslow, Arizona, and say hello to the Eagles while staindin on the corner. Detours can be taken to the Grand Canyon and Sedona if ya like.Flagstaff is a by pass..Kingman or Seligman (Can't remember) has a great model train set up and museum. Oatrman Arizona has donkeys that room the streets, butr the road is a bit windy to get there. Depending upon where ya start off there many great cities (not including Barstow)LOL, that you drive through

Joe There are CD's and many videos on YouTube about driving Route 66. Although it is mostly Interstate 40, there are many side trips through small towns largely forgotten by the interstate. Seligman is a good one as well as stopping at the midpoint cafe in Adrian, TX. There are many Route 66 museums, all different and worth the stops.
Unbelivable TBN trips including ALL of the lower 48 States plus 9 Canadian Provinces, 8 European Countries, 3 Caribbean Countries, Countless National Parks and have attended well over 100 TBN Events since 2001 and counting. Best of all ... fabulous friends.

        Joe,
And don’t miss The Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, Texas on Route 66. There are about 10 Cadillacs from the 50‘s and 60’s buried partway into the ground in a field all at the same angle and spray-painted by tourists over the years. It is quite a memorable sight to see. Old motels from that era are restored with 50’s cars parked outside are a must-see also. When you pass through Clinton, Ok., be sure to stop and see TBN member’s Carlos and Ann Newcomb’s restaurant on the Main Street (can’t recall the name of it). They make the best pies you have ever had!!

The name of the cafe is Cafe Clinton and they are only open for lunch.
When you get your schedule set up, let us know when you are going to be in the Tulsa area, maybe we can meet you to see some sites or at least have lunch/ dinner with you.
          we miss seeing everyone!

Hey Joe, it seems like you are on a real adventure, just don't forget to take a guidance from Donkey in Oatman, they are so common and experienced there. They helped me before my new york trip. Hope they would be as useful for you... Best of luck!!

We had to cancel our 2004 trip on Route 66 and now are scheduling a May 2005 trip.
