Unfortunately I don't have a Ford GT but do have tons of data on them. I don't recall the information I was seeking that you refer to... I was on the main Ford GT forum site for a year or so supplying information similar to what I'm doing on this thread. Do you have a GT? Where did you see me?

Harry, I don't remember the specific question anymore, but you had asked if I could get information (about a GT serial no. you had emailed me) through the Ford Parts Database.

Sold By: No dealer information. I can't add much to the story but it was originally ordered as a "Fleet" vehicle. The codes I have indicate it was for export - I am unable to determine if it was originally ordered for export, or later designated "EXPORT". U.S. Franchise laws prohibit the factory selling a vehicle direct to the customer, perhaps export vehicles are not bound by this restriction. I would bet the nearest Icelandic Ford Dealer to the NATO base got a commission even if the vehicle wasn't shipped to them first for initial dealer pre-delivery prep.

Post # 14 shows a person who had a lead on # 007 of 700 but no idea of the VIN to date. The rest on the list is in post # 26. Still a long way to go. Should compare my list with Dot's to see if I can add a few more.

You see the first line of that thread?: "~Since it has come out that there were only 694 007 models built ~"

You know that since that time we have filled in the missing six 007s... all 700 are accounted for.
