while rerouting the sirius antenna I pulled the back compartment off the back area of the trunk. There were numbers written in silver or white. 9/29/04 1st 8am. The 8 am was kind of scribbly but it was all written twice. What serial number is the first of the last?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you are asking... You want the VIN for the first and last built? The last Bird was finished 7/25/2005 and that VIN is 1FAHP60A75Y109337 and the car went to a Ford family member. There were about 6,800 units built after the 9/29/04 date you saw. I'd previously looked up your car and it was built on 10/27/2004. The VIN for your car was assigned on 9/30/05.

Was the date you saw written on the welded car body or on a removable part?

it was on a removable part. It was part of the trunk liner.
