                Re: Pacific Coast Roadster data

I have number 154. Last four digest of vin are 6966, per ford customer service number 154 was produced on 1/14/2004. Ford customer service sent me a letter stating that only 992 pcr's were produced. They also state that the total production for the entire line was 12,664, I am not sure how this compares to other numbers given. I am a member of the mustang Bullitt forum and we were given several different of production.

Ford customer service provided me the following information. PAC #154 was built on 1/14/2004. This is one of 992 that their records show were built. Last four digest of vin are 6966. They also provided a consecutive unit number of 106966. Ford customer service states total production of T-Birds was 12,664 for the year.

Harry, can you scan the letter from Ford and post it here on this thread. A lot of PCR owners would like to see it.

                    Thanks

                      Re: Pacific Coast Roadster data

Research indicates that Ford has several databases, each for a specific reason. That research also found that the databases didn't always match in numbers built. The database that quickdraw used has more vins and difers from the source that Ford customer service is able to access. His shows that all 1000 pcrs were vinned and sold and that includes the sold dates and to which dealer.

That also means that there are 8 PCRs out there that Ford customer service won't find in their database. Now, which of those is going to show up first! here?

Whew !!!! Great thread. Having spent more than 40 years messing with old Fords from 30's forward one thing is consistent. Ford does many strange things often with no "rhyme or reason " In the 30's they were nortorious for making changes in the middle of a model year. In April of 1936 they came out with a spring showing color, maroon.

So ,,, It appears we have data on roughly 50 out of a thousand PCR's built. I have seen at least two that I doubt are on this list but it's hard to talk to them at 70 MPH going the other direction. (-:
