Hey Issy, what color is your soft boot? Mine is darker than "dark ash" and looks more like the one
that's in the original advert for the PCR. Just curious.

Its a pretty good bet that the first three number tags were set aside for PCR's built later after any kinks were worked out and destined for VIP ownership.
And I hope mine isn't too "kinky"!

Boot looks like a gray to me , guess as they call it a dark ash. Now as it has been used and in the sun I can tell the difference as the edges not getting hit by the sun directly are a darker ash. So the majority of the boot has turned into a lighter gray.

Hi Sal. I've seen numerous pieces of paperwork with your name on them as part of the documentation I received with the car. You can be proud, it has been maintained impeccably. Had just over 30,000 when I got it. This is my second retro. Sold the first and regretted it. Really pleased to have found this one.

Yes I did. And I just had the polished chrome wheels on my 'Vette triple plated to the high gloss chrome also.

                          Hi Phil,
Yes..I gave pretty much everything to the new owner when I sold it. Even some show award plaques. I did my best to keep it nice, and it seems the next owners did also. Glad to hear it, and glad it went to someone who understands what the car is about and will preserve it as much as possible. Enjoy!! Oh, and keep me posted if you do anything else to it. I see someone took off the chrome tail light bezels. I liked it with them on. Also, are the porthole lights still on it? It looked great at night with the portholes lit up.

Sal... how did you do the porthole lights? A mod that I’ve always considered.

I found online flat light strips. They were the exact color of the Thunderbird Aqua blue. Then I just attached them to the inside of the porthole with some small pieces of velcro and then wired them into the tail lights so they would go on whenever the headlights were on. I also added plugs on each side so they could be disconnected when the top was removed. I think the pics and info are on this website somewhere. If not, I'll try to find the info and pics in my personal stuff and post it all again.

                              • Thanks, Sal. I was thinking along those lines. Can the strips be cut to get the correct length?
