To G1GRANDGALLOP: the missing digit wasn’t a problem at all, every retro-Thunderbird made has a 1 as the 12th digit in the VIN.
Quickdraw, thanks. I know the sold date you gave me was the same as the day I wrote the check for the car. Since I did not buy the car I ordered, I did not know the rest of the story.
