Have you every looked to find out what the longest period of time a car sat at the dealer before it was sold?

Mine was at the dealer for 49 weeks, probably some even longer.

On the system I access there isn't any way to check that - you'd have to manually enter every VIN one at a time. I wouldn't be surprised if somewhere there were dealers with unsold 2002s on the lot even now. Just looking through this thread heres to only two I found with longer "sit time" than yours:

As to how rare it is... if it doesn't have the SST and is the standard black interior, it's one of only six. If it has the black accent it is not nearly as rare, it's one of 24. <grin>
