off hand do you know if there is anyplace to find out this info for say a 96 bird?

I'll check it tomorrow... you know Ford came very close to integrating the V8 into the chevron for '03 but apparently the "V8" was prone to fall off. At least that's what people at Wixom said when the first 03s were being built.

Thank you Quickdraw, you are right on one side of the fender the V8 was missing but the 7 bars in chrome were still there. Thanks, Rick

sounds like a manufacturer plate car? and weren't they considering that v8/hashmark emblem for the 04s? The preproduction photos I have with the v8 emblem from others on this list were for the 2004 production run.

Hi Quickdraw, No that is not mine, but I think it was the first 03 off the line, I think Dot is correct, a M plate test vehicle. Thanks again for all your help, Rick
