Sorry, I really only care about the VMG/VMG hardtop Premium, SST, 17" wheels, Black Ink Leather inerior. Hope that filters it down enough.

Sounds like they'd be tough to find if you're looking for one....

FYI: There were 28 "one-of-a-kind" combinations made for 2004... nine of them were VMG...

Describe your 2004 to find out how unique it is. I also have the breakdown for the Select Shift transmission and the wheel options.

I Need your: Body color/Hard top color (or none)/Soft Top color/Interior color-(full or partial color)/Premium or Deluxe/SST or not/7 or 16 spoke wheels.

If your interior is black, please note if it is the standard black or the black accent option with painted wood shift knob & steering wheel. Note that all Deluxe models have 16 spoke painted wheels. 16 spoke machined wheels are a no cost substitution for the 7 spoke chrome on Premium models.

I don't really know, they also only made 694 Bond 007's instead of 700. Dot could probably offer better guesses than I, but it may be something as simple as a shortage of one of the unique parts. Maybe they were short of the ash metallic tops, or the number plate in the glove box, etc. Its very hard to balance out a bunch of unique parts exactly and if the car sells slow it may not have been important enough to coordinate so that it balanced out exactly at the maximum of 1,000. It also my be that 1,000 were produced but eight were kept within the company for show. Again these are just guesses.

dont the productions #'s only include the cars iontended for sale? dosent ford give cars away to mags like car and driver + consumer reports... to excutives... contests... and gov agincies for testing? also i think they need a car to make comercials (hahaha i know) and mag adds... perhaps they were included... also perhaps some were made in 2003 to test run the colors and assembly (like we saw the bronze show up before the 05 line was tooled up and started) they may have been counted as a white or blank car in last years invintory? just guesses since i dont realy know?

it is merlot, with a merlot hard top and a sand convertible top. The interior is black with a sand trim and sand color seats. The console is also black and sand. The dash is black. The doors are black. It does have the Select Shift transmission which I have no idea how to use =) Thanks!!!! Carol

If you have the 7 spoke chrome wheels, its one of 1,322 and is the most popular of all 2004s. If it has the 16 spoke wheels its one of 1,257. These are far and away the two most popular combinations for 2004 as only 788 of the third most popular combination were made.
