Well, I hit a new “mile”stone today! 120k miles in my Whisper White 02. Not all mine, but mine now.

Enjoy Steven. Mile just turned 120k a day before I put her away for the winter. What major problems have you faced? sure you agree that these cars are the greatest fun per dollar!

Last week I missed her so I went to the storage garage and installed the repaired seat, next day I washed her (again) then the next she got waxed. Treated the leather seats the next day. The rest of the interior was the next days project. Finally got up the next day and did the engine compartment. Put the cover back on one last time and drove to Florida. Won't see her until the first of May. damn I miss her!

Not many problems, Bill, considering the mileage. I’ve done some preventative maintenance to keep up. Plugs, coils, some front and rear suspension, and brakes on all four corners. I’ve done the degas bottle, power steering pressure switch, and a new battery. Headlight replacement and some other minor stuff. I do have a thermostat and new housing ready to install, I had an overheat problem and I suspect a stuck thermostat. Has not happened again. I do have a very slight oil leak, likely coming from the front engine cover. I’ll put up with that leak, not wanting to get to deep in the repair woods.

Living in Florida on the Gulf Coast, I don’t need to put the car “in storage” but it is garage kept. It’s my weekend driver and, yes, I do enjoy having the Tbird. Oddly, I have seen more on the road in the past few weeks when normally none. The other day a mint green, a merlot, and a few days earlier...a whisper white, black, and red. Must be the warming weather...the birds are coming out...all with hard top on or soft top up. Still a little to chilly to go topless!

i need to do the bumper to bumper cleaning...wash, clay bar, wax and all the interior detailing. A need a few more degrees near or above 70 before that event! If I had more room, I’d have more. I’ve seen some pretty good deals for sale by owners wanting to sell, others are so far unreasonable that it makes our cars value hold.
