  • Rocker Panel Cleaning

    Hey all!

Can someone point me to a thread where a guy can find cleaning advice for removing enviromentals, such as tar bits, etc. from the rocker panel area?

    Thank you,

    Re: Rocker Panel Cleaning

I use "tar and bug" remover - and a good cotton terry washcloth and work at it.

WD 40 works for me. Then follow up with a good coat of wax.

Yep WD-40 followed with wax. Probably one of the few good things WD-40 will do.

Wow! Thank you, for the simple solvent to the problem, I'll try them both, one for each rocker panel :)

It will also take adhesive off things. Like price tag glue off plastic or ceramic etc. without scratching.

I use Goo-Gone, work great on tar, label glue residue, etc.

And... it has a fresh, lemony smell.
