    What have i gotten myself into III

    well i started a thread HERE about the rebirth of my bird. well finally after many a years i have a running and working car.

    took it to the racetrack RT66 in Joliet IL this past weekend for the NMRA/NMCA SuperBowl of Street Legal dragracing.

      What happened on the 1st 2 runs? Have a little trouble off the line? Rust? - looks great - wish I could get my '03 to do that

        Oh Chuck, you are much too modest. I'll post your times for you since you don't like to brag:

        Times - (bottom of ramp to inside trailer pre Xcal/no trunk mat):

        1st run: 3.963 sec
        2nd run: 3.853 sec
        3rd run: 3.666 sec

        Times - (inside trailer to bottom of ramp pre Xcal/no trunk mat):

        1st run: 2.333 sec
        2nd run: 2.389 sec
        3rd run: 2.355 sec

        Times - (bottom of ramp to inside trailer post Xcal/with trunk mat):

        1st run: 2.635 sec
        2nd run: 2.118 sec
        3rd run: 2.005 sec

        Times - (inside trailer to bottom of ramp post Xcal/with trunk mat):

        1st run: 1.678 sec
        2nd run 1.533 sec
        3rd run: 1.435 sec (world record time according to the National Drag Ramp Racing Association of America)

              first run i shortshifted from first right into 3rd gear and i just let off the n2o and just ran it out the top end.
              second run forgot to turn the n2o on, also was short shifting it a little.
