Leather and Wood Steering Wheel?

Perusing Ford dealership's parts web site (Team Ford, in this case), under Steering Wheel), I see listings for Leather wrap, Neiman marcus, and Wood and leather. Wood and leather? Does anyone have one of these steering wheel?

I have the wood and leather in the Inca ( it comes when you order partial or full accent). I had one it my Torch red but change it and the shift knob out for all leather.

The wood and leather refers to the leather wheel with the accent colored top (that section is wood).

So, the Leather wheel came with the standard black interior and Leather and wood are the accent color wheels. Got it!

Robert, since you have a full accent interior tbird, then your steering wheel is supposedly wood and leather, however no one that I know of has ever really checked to see if that is really wood under the accent paint color on the steering wheel. We were just told that from the beginning that it was lacquer over wood. As for a wood grain steering wheel, none came on the tbirds.


Maybe someone who has seen a wrecked car that has been in a rollover and had the
wheel scraped, would be able to tell us what they noticed on the steering wheel?

In the full accent wasn't the shifter knob also wood? I believe I read it somewhere possibly the Lamb Book.

Well not exactly! I have triple black car that has the black laquer wood top on the steering wheel and black wood shift knob. Now whether that was an option or upgrade I can't really say since I am the second owner.

My 2005 torch red full accent premium has a leather wrapped shifter and the top portion of the steering wheel is red leather wrapped. That is what Dot describes on her website. I wonder why they changed that just the last year and only on the torch red?

My 2005 torch red full accent premium has a leather wrapped shifter and the top portion of the steering wheel is red leather wrapped. That is what Dot describes on her website. I wonder why they changed that just the last year and only on the torch red?

Jimmy; my '05 brochure shows a picture of your full accent package and in the 04 brochure it shows the same picture and wording. However, no mention as to whether its painted or leather wrapped, but both pictures show a shine on the red area which I assume is paint. Maybe yours is special or done after market??

For 2005, the red package was changed from a painted steering wheel & shift knob to leather wrapped. The reason I know this is I investigated that very change when I special ordered my '05 to make sure the partial white interior didn't make that same change as the red package had for '05...and it didn't.
