  • Need Ideas for dashboard

As some of you know, I just bought a very used 2003 Thunderbird (Desert Sky Blue).

The owner before me was a smoker -- and I am not. There is a lighter in the car on the left side...I want to remove it and plug it similarly to the AC outlet on the passenger side of the dash.

Anyone know where I can get one of those AC covers?

**I know stupid thing to focus on**

Gee, I am one of those terrible social outcast smokers and the lighter in my Thunder has never been used.

I believe Bruce for one has provided replacement ideas for the lighter in the past. Maybe he will see this and respond.

LOL! Love that! Where did you get that??? However, I would put it on the right side and when my 16 year old gets sassy -- I could point to it!

I meant no offense, Lonestar. I hope you did not take it as such.

What's the big deal? We all have them in our cars, it's part of the car. The only important thing is if you use it or not. I don't smoke and no one ever has in my car but the ash tray and lighter are there just like the day it rolled out of the factory. You should be more concerned about getting the smell out of your car. Leroy

Here's something you can do on your dashboard, and it will even help make your car smell good:

Didn't ask about the smell as I am already handling and don't need help on a solution for that.

As a 'newby', Kathleen, keep your posts coming as we are enjoying your new bird almost as much as you are. That is what makes this site what it is.
