    Welcome to the Nest!
We spoke earlier in the week about your car. Here's a potential replacement, which may not be sold as of yet -

Of course a replacement is only good if they total yours or you fix it and sell it.

The above car is no longer available. He decided to keep it. - When insurance settles, do not mention your hardtop unless they do:)

Doesn't look that bad to me, I think they'll fix it. If they do, dump it. Leroy

                Hi Paul,
I have watched this thread for abit now and please keep us all informed on the outcome.

I was almost hit just like you were last week by a police cruiser. He was inches away from my side as I was looking at him. He was in the wrong, not me...

Ditto to the remarks above: The most important thing is that you walked away.

Paul -- I was listening to Clark Howard on the radio the other day and this very subject came up. Clark was telling the caller that almost 99% of the time the insurance companies will try to low-ball you with an offer. He advises you go to Edmunds, Kelly, and similar sites to get the value for your car and then stand firm on the price you come up with. If they balk you should then threaten them with going to arbitration. I would advise you check out the Clark Howard web site as he will have this info there.

Hope you tossed the pants you were wearing fo I suspect they got a bit messy - mine sure would have. As noted, the most important thing is that you were not hurt. Cars can be replace - you, not so much.

I can not tell from the pics, the the side air bags deploy?

By far the easiest thing in the world to do is write that check every month to the insurance company. On the other hand; the hardest thing to do in this world is to get a check from them. They are there to make money period your emotional connection to your car is of no concern of theirs. IMHO.
