Motor Bling

This is for all you guys that have removed the thunderbird script from from the rear quarters. I took mine off for that cleaner look and put them on a shelf in the shop.
The other day I was thinking man they would look good on the valve covers. So I cleaned them up, put on new 3M body tape took the coil covers off and stuck them on.
Man it made a difference not too over the top just right. Hope the heat in the engine compartment isn't too much for them. Realy like the way they look and would be bumed out if it ruins them. Hoping it works out.

Jason, the scripts on your valve covers will be fine. Have had them on my car for nearly 2 years with no problems.

Glad to here there's no problems it took me all Saterday morning to trim the 3M tape around the letters. Sorry no digital camera still live in the twentieth century. Spent all my money my bird.

As I recall, someone earlier had mentioned applying these scripts to their valve covers also. These are still available from Ford for something over $20.00 per script.
I may see how they look and apply them to mine!

Never really focused on the valve cover scripts, but you can see a bit of the script in this photo. What may look like scrapes near the valve cover is actually just engine chrome reflection.
