Whoo Hoo - warm weather teaser - hard top off!

Finally....a bit of warm weather here in OK. Could not resist it so I yanked off the hard top (thanks for the motorized ceiling lift!) and ran some errands topless. Felt GGOOOOOOODDDDDD. Hope to have about another week of warm weather before I put it back on to finish the winter. A motorized top lift is the cats meow for quickly taking advantage of a mid winter warm spell.

Man that is great to hear.....Jersey has had the tea totaling crap kicked out of it this year. It's gotten so bad that my friends in Minnesota are feeling sorry for my relatives in Jersey.

I just removed my hard top too. It is 73 here in Euless TX. Couldn't resist.

You're a better man than I Gene, too much winter left for me to that. I am not going to tempt Mother Nature. Top probably won't come off till April.

Temps around 70 each day this week, so I took the top off on Mon, and Tue we took about a 150 mi. round trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast with a nice drive along the beaches.

I took my Bird out yesterday and drove it around a bit. I started it about once a month this winter, so it started right up. I only started my Corvette twice this winter, and that barely started yesterday--not much battery left. I took that out too--drove it over 100 miles--what fun! Got on a county road and ran it over 120 mph.

That was yesterday. Today, we got a ton of snow again. I really had a great day (not)...first I got about 5 miles out of town, and on a seldom traveled township road, the snowmobile quit. No way for my wife to get the car there due to the storm and the bad roads, so I walked to the state highway--a little over two miles. Finally, she got the car shoveled out and picked me up. So, altogether I walked about 3 miles before that happened, as I had decided to try to walk back to town. Got home, took the snowblower out, and that quit. Couldnt' really tell what was wrong, so I took the cover off. Got that going, and blew the driveways out. Then, I got the 300M out, but did not get far, as it got stuck in the alley. The neighbors and I shoveled that out. So, I am calling it a day.

I really do understand what you are going through with all that snow and cold. We lived in Sturgeon Bay, Wi for 10 years and finally moved to Texas in 1971. NEVER NEVER do we want winters like that at all. Had a little snow here in Austin Texas this year and ice too. Nothing like you have endured. Best. My 2 tops are in the garage and have not been on birds in 3-4 years.

Bruce, According to the weather radar you are right in the middle (bulls eye) of this latest storm. Best to stay in doors safe and sound until it is all over. Plan to do my driveway in the morning when the snow is suppose to be done. North side of the Cities is missing most of this.
