I have NAPA ceramic pads on mine and they DO squeal and also throw brake dust. The reason I put them on was to eliminate most brake dust. Anyone have a better suggestion?

wagner thermo-quiets are the best. be sure to use anti squeal spray on the back of each pad on any brand that you use-comes in a spray can and is very effective.

If you had the squeal prior to installing new pads the problem might be the rotors
              being glazed.

Three weeks ago I put on Hawk HPS pads on front and back ( had ceramic on the rear but didn't like the squeel or performance). These pads are AMERICAN made and Indy and IRL use this brand. PM me and I'll give you the part numbers and the cheapest place I found to get them .They ain't cheap but impoved stopping a bunch .

Try a little WD 40 Spray on each pad and rotor.
I'm betting your brakes wont make any noises from there on

Lubricant on the brakes? Are you serious?

What needs to be done first is pull the pads and lube all parts the proper way with brake grease. After that look at glazed rotors. If they aren't glazed then look for different type of pads.

I did my own brake job with ceramic pads from NAPA and I haven't had this problem for years.

Here is what I did. http://www.thunderbirdnest.com/forum...ad.php?t=12434

The dealer put ceramic pads on my car once, they squealed up a storm, I took the car back and made them change out to OEM pads, no problem since.
