Is there any way to get a copy or reference to the build sheet for my 2004 Bird. I am the third owner and would like to know what equipment was original and what added later.

    Re: Build sheets

Is a build sheet different than the original window sheet?

www.portholeauthority.com owned & operated by one of our own TBN members, 5bird7 has all the info you could possibly need to know plus more about the retro Birds. If something isn't in Porthole Authority's lists and data than it isn't original Ford build and it is after market.

Is there anything in particular you are wondering about?

      Re: Build sheets

Mike, Build sheet is a list of the codes used during manufacture of the Tbird. It's not the same as the Window sticker but has the same basic info. Build sheets are NOT found in the tbirds (only know of two exceptions but those were direct from the factory not in the cars.) Quickraw is still our only consistent source of getting those codes but he's not on this forum. Ford Customer Service might be another source to get them from if the car is 10 years old or newer. Contact me, Rick.

        Re: Build sheets

Build sheets for these cars had to be pretty much the same for each year or model. Most options were simply cosmetic, color, wheels, interior, suplamental lights, and hard top. Did I miss anything? I found the build sheet for my 70 Corvette taped on top of the gas tank. Leroy

            Re: Build sheets

It was great. 4850 miles round trip, 2600 there and 2250 home. Averaged about 19.5 MPG at an average cost of $3.21 per gal. I spent a little over $800.00 on gas. Took 4 days to get to San Diego, stayed overnight in Memphis, Abilene, and Las Cruices. Spent 4 days in San Diego then off to Quartzite,AZ to find my Wifes parents out in the dessert in there motor home. Spent two days there hanging out with them. We stayed in a near-by motel. Next stop was Albaqueque, NM. then Tulsa then home. The weather was perfect till we hit the Indiana State line on I-80/94, we drove right into a blizzard, but we're used to that and made it home OK.

              Re: Build sheets

Nice! Not bad fuel mpg for your truck. I've heard about Quartzite but never been there. Interesting way to RV and spend the winter months. Did you take in the San Diego Zoo or Safari Park? Two of my most favorite places when visiting the San Diego area.

              I guess I better

We did the Safari. My Wifes girl friend works there as a volanter on the week-ends and she took us there. It was fun. We got to hand feed the Girrafts and the Hippos from the back of the truck. We were also the first ones to get to see a new born baby Hippo. Leroy
