State of Michigan sent me a new plate this week for my T-Bird, told me to put this plate on my car and return the T BIRD plate, they said mine had been issued by mistake, that it was already issued to another person when they issued it to me.
I find it hard to belive they can issue it to me in December 2004, let me renew it in February 2005 and could not see that it was already issued to someone else till April.
I knew it was too good to be true when I got it.
I am disgusted!
I'm going to keep my avatar though, I don't think they can take that back.

See my avatar.Just got this plate before Christmas. Girl at Secretary of State told me someone was going to be disappointed, as they had it on a '66 T-Bird and let it lapse.
Bill, sounds to me like the guy with the '66 got hs bird running and had some clout at the BMV
Greetings from beautiful Cumberland, MD in Western Maryland!

Just wondering...how many of you have vanity plates on your Bird, and what is it?
Here in Quebec, vanity plates are not available......The license plate I now have was on my father's '87 Mercedes 560SL which I inherited from after he passed away...A few years later, I traded the Mercedes for my '02 T-Bird and since vanity plates were (and are still) not offered here, I decided to keep the same plate in memory of my father...It reads ''JBG 560''...
After fruitlessly trying to be clever/creative and failing miserably I went for "DONSBRD". I ordered it online a few minutes ago at the CA. DMV website. 8-12 week wait & I have to pick it up & turn in my old plates. The website was pretty easy to use.
