I know it was originally delivered to Summit Ford in Enterprise, OR, and traded to Westlie Ford in Camas, WA, where I bought it on 02/21/03.

The system I access first reported this as a 2002 order... Dot said that low of a VIN number must have been ordered in 2001. Apparently the computer system can't handle an order date more than a year before the build date.

What determines the build date? Is it the day it starts on the line with a VIN or is it the day it rolls off the assembly line?

The day it comes off the line... The VIN is assigned days or weeks before the car even starts on the line.

I have posted this before, but there are a lot of new members since then. Attached is the build sheet for my car. I was able to get it while my car was on the assembly line as I was there when it was on the final trim line.
