Every car here will always have an owner unless the car is totaled or rusts away. So, as long as the cars hold up.... the owners will be there and the priceless survival data for the car produced here on the site by us....the first generation owners.... will live on...to keep the cars going....as long as someone pays the bill to keep the TBN on the Internet. We are the salvation of the Retro Thunderbird. Do not let it die.
"I'm 10 and a half", or "I'm almost 17", or "almost old enough to drive, date, drink, vote, etc".
Then, we hit a point where we don't want to tell our age.
"Stiill under 40, or 50". (Don't ask, don't tell.)
Then, we get to another plateau where we really don't care how old we are, and we are just happy to say we made it.
That's where I am now.

66 in a week and a day. I enjoy both top down and hardtop. The '03 Red Bird has not had its hardtop on since it came home in July 03 and the '05 Inca has only had its soft top up once, when we went to PA to pickup the black hardtop which has been on it ever since.
I have always been a convertible person. When I was single, living in California at the time, I had a 72 Plum colored MGB and the top was never up unless it rained.
I use to put my long hair in hot rollers, put a hat over it, drive to work, take out the rollers and shake my hair out. There was no better feeling than leaving work and driving in the convertible and letting the wind just blow all the days problems away.
Yep, I think you are either a convertible person or not a convertible person.
