June 14th N.J. T-Bird Show

We just registered our VMG 2004 Bird for the North Jersey Thunderbird Association Show in Pompton Plains, NJ on June 14th. It is the first event we have entered since we bought our bird last December and we can't wait to go and meet other T-bird owners. Is anyone from the Nest planning on going? Would love to meet some of you in person.

Art...how did you register? I've been looking for the form on their site for weeks. I plan to go, may take both cars. I even emailed them on Saturday, still no reply.

John (Micamaven) and I were there last year, what a great show! They moved the weekend this year and we already made plans for Thunderama. We were even going to try to get some of the New England people down to Jersey but its a problem because of the date conflict. Have a good time, maybe we can make it next year, as I said its a great show!

I agree. It's too bad that they conflict this year. They used to be 2 weeks apart, but this year NJ moved theirs ahead 1 week and NH moved theirs back a week (this was due to Laconia Bike Week starting early this year and I don't think Don wanted to have a T Bird show right in the middle of Bike Week).

Too bad because I would have been down for it and maybe some of my New England buddies too.

BTW...any plans for the July LI show yet?

Look forward to see you at Thunderama, it's going to be the best one yet!!!

Actually, NJ didn't move anything. It's always the second Saturday in June with Carlisle being the first weekend.

You are correct Gene. I must have been looking at the wrong calendar. Only the Thunderama show was moved this year.

It's just that Father's Day is so early this year landing on the same weekend.

There is another show, "Light Up the Night", in Randolph, NJ run by the Garden State Region Mustang Club. It is being held on Saturday July 19 at Jack Trebour Ford. Yes, it is a Mustang Club, but it is open to all Ford powered vehicles and we are registered.

I would love to do the Northern New Jersey Show one of these years myslelf. Beautiful part of the country and a nice ride from central Mass. Perhaps our NE gang can work on that for next year if the date is open.....
