        What color is the inside?

If black, this is a very nice combo.

Otherwise, it's still a nice combo.

Not my cup of tea, Mike, but it's your car. I think I'd do the black top before I'd do the white vinyl top (REALLY, JOHN?).

Hey Mike, it appears to be a combo that one might "pull-off" or is "do-able" and somewhat classy even. Will admit, that comes from someone slightly partial to the double-tone idea (see gallery). To each his own!

Re: Medium Steel Blue-Black Hard Top What Do You Think?

              Hi everyone,

I appreciate all the feedback on the black HT vrs. the original med. steelblue HT. I posted this thread for the very purpose of getting some input and to show what this mix would look like.

I already have the original msb HT and in my opinion the msb HT on the car is a very classy appearance The med. steelblue is a very special color available only in 2005 and it comes with a matching soft top, seat inserts, steering wheel & shift knob trim all in med. steelblue. The black top just doesn't have that pa-zazz. But one never knows until you try, and now I know.

The fate of this black HT, I'm only going to be a temporary home for it. I going to help it find a new home, possibly someone who doesn't have a HT or someone who would like another HT to mix or match their colors.
              Mike

Try the silver or white. I have seen both on medium steel blue and they look very nice.

Looks fine. I think a darker shade of blue (in the same palette) than the body would look even better!:)

I prefer the matching top like I have, but it looks like the little wooden guy really likes it!

I think you need to paint the hood, trunk, and doors to match the top and it will all come together.

Liven it up with a white over black pinstripe.

                          Your car, your choice...........

But, since you asked, I'm just not in favor of a tri tone configuration, unless it's due to a limited convertible top color selection.

                              All black

The only saddle pieces/parts are the seats (100% saddle), gearshift, and partial steering wheel.

IMHO, could have used a few more saddle highlights.

Pretty rare combo. I've had people ask me where I had the interior redone.

Did you ever have someone check the numbers for you? I found out that there is only 505 Medium steel Blue built the same as mine. Not too rare but rare enough as there was only 1452 MSBs
