One more thing about the adoption if I may-I'm adopted and my daughter named the new son after me. She really knows how to tweak grandpa's heart strings.

I noted how nice that car looked with the beige headrests rising above the body of the car - really looks good with the top down.
That was my only sighting for the rest of the drive home.
Ahhh Dot, you were sleeping on the job....er I mean the drive. A black passed us going the other direction.

Seen my first Mint Green with Minnesota plates. It was a mint green with white hard top on. Must of had white accent interior as the steering wheel look like it had white on it. The car was driving west on Hwy 55 in Plymouth around 4:30 on the 15th. Gave him the thumbs up sign as he pulled along side of me (I was in company Impala) but he did not look over my way. Tried to keep up with it but lost it at a stop light.

I'm in Ocean City MD for a conference and a 50th Anniversary edition pulled into the parking lot adjacent to Phillips Seafood Restaurant where I was parked. They blew the horn and I waved. I never got to talk with them - MD Bay plates were on it. I've driven 200 miles since I left home Sunday and that's the first other Bird I've seen.

Had lots of compliments on mine. A couple in a PT Cruiser asked if I would trade while we were waiting for a light change on Coastal Highway. I like the Cruiser but not that much.

I saw a T-Bird Blue in the parking garage at my office today. Sumner County, TN plate "BIRD 02". Belong to anyone here?

Hi--Just spotted (yesterday and today) what I think is a blue 02 with a black soft-top, and what appears to be the more ornate Nieman Marcus-like chrome wheels, at Manitowoc Holiday Inn.

Had a Wisper White pull beside me at a light. I was in the 56 Bird, but both had tops down and I told her Rosebud was at home.

Exchanged horn honks and hearty waves with a lady driving a top-down Evening Black on Rt.28 south yesterday near Dulles Airport, VA plate AM GRFTI. I have to admit it took me about 30 seconds to figure out the plate...American Graffiti. I could tell she laughed after I passed her and she saw my FUN X 3 plate. Good to see another enthusiastic Bird owner on the road.

Whew! Glad you helped me out on that one, PK. I don't think I would have gotten it. I would have started out with, "OK, it says, '(I) am ... (something)' " & then I'd have given up.

MSG with soft top up yesterday northbound on 301 near the Potomac River Bridge. Waved but no response, I think he was on the phone. Travelled several hundred miles this weekend and this was the only retrobird. Almost home yesterday and passed a blue/grey '63 going the other direction, exchanged "thumbs up".

Living in a small town in southwest New Mexico makes it hard to see another T'bird but it is really easy to live up to our name: Sonrisas (smiles in Spanish)! I seldom get in the car without a look or smile from someone that says, "Sweet car, lady!" One of my favorites was the old cowboy in to town from the ranch driving his sidestep truck that was ready to be put to pasture. At the stoplight, he gave me the look, rolled his window down the rest of the way, nodded and gave me a tip of the hat salute, and said, "Nice car, lady." We are having fun and so far I am ticket free by our local Barney Fife.
                        Blessings,

Sonrisas, I know exactly where you are! As a FAR, West Texas Gal (went to H.S. in Andrews, TX), I can imagine your scenario well!

MSG from Troup County Hwy 219 at Hunter's Pub last night 6:30. I didn't have any luck locating the owner. They must have been in the open air section.

Tuesday aftenoon (May 26) I met a white 'bird with a sand soft top westbound on US 36 west of Seneca, KS. Had a yellow out of state plate on rear--anyone from this group??

On our way to Toronto we spotted a white Tbird with white Hardtop, Whitewall tires and wire wheels at a dealer in Ft. Wayne right beside interstate 69. We flew past it, but it sure looked great up there on the stand. Anyone know who's car this was? It sure looked familiar!
